About This Opportunity

Afro-CariBrant Festival is a vibrant two-day celebration of African and Caribbean culture, heritage, and community in Brant. The festival brings people of all backgrounds together through live music, dance, cultural performances, authentic food, art, storytelling, local vendors, youth activities, and educational experiences that honour the traditions, creativity, and contributions of Afro-Caribbean communities. It is a family-friendly event focused on inclusion, connection, cultural pride, and community engagement.

Volunteers play an important role in making the festival welcoming, organized, and enjoyable for everyone. Roles may include guest services, registration, setup and takedown, stage and performer support, vendor assistance, marketplace support, family and youth activity helpers, cultural exhibit support, media and photography assistance, parking and wayfinding, hospitality, green team/waste support, logistics, volunteer check-in, and general event operations. Volunteers should expect a fun, fast-paced outdoor environment. Students may earn OSSD community involvement hours.
