About This Opportunity
U+ Community — Unpaid volunteer opportunity
If you enjoy bringing order to busy days, this is a practical way to support your community. As an Administrative Support Volunteer with U+ Community, you will help keep everyday information organized and make it easier for staff, volunteers and participants to find what they need.
About U+ Community
U+ Community brings volunteers together to support community programs and events. Through U+ Volunteer Connect, volunteers contribute to practical projects in program support, administration, communications and technology.
What you will do
- Enter and update program, participant and volunteer information in approved records and spreadsheets.
- Organize shared folders, name and file documents consistently, and help digitize materials when needed.
- Help schedule meetings, maintain calendars and prepare simple agendas or meeting materials.
- Draft participant notices, reminders and routine communications for staff review.
- Check information for accuracy, flag missing details and provide brief updates on completed tasks while keeping personal information confidential.
What you bring
This role suits someone who is dependable, detail-oriented and comfortable with everyday computer tasks. Clear written communication and the ability to follow a filing or record-keeping process will help. Familiarity with spreadsheets, shared documents and email is useful.
What you will gain
Build practical experience in administration, record keeping and scheduling. See how well-organized information supports community programs, and strengthen skills you can use in school, work and future volunteering.
Support and responsibility
Follow the team's instructions for records and shared files. Prepare communications for review and bring questions or sensitive requests to the staff contact rather than answering beyond your role.
