Volunteer Success is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and impact, with plans to expand our national platform and develop new services, training, e-learning and practical resources to strengthen volunteerism across Canada.

Volunteer Success was founded by Brian Prosserman, whose extraordinary work, vision and commitment created an engaging online platform and a strong foundation for connecting volunteers with the communities and causes that need them. We are proud to build on Brian’s remarkable legacy by expanding the reach and impact of the organization he created.

As part of this next chapter, Volunteer Success is pleased to be supported by CharityVillage, which has worked alongside Canada’s nonprofit sector for more than 30 years, helping organizations find talented people, strengthen their teams and build their capacity to serve their communities.

This relationship brings together in an alliance two complementary strengths: Volunteer Success’s focused charitable mission to promote and strengthen volunteerism, and CharityVillage’s long-standing connection to Canada’s nonprofit community.

CharityVillage serves as Volunteer Success’s corporate member and provides strategic, operational and technical support to help us grow our reach and impact. Volunteer Success is a federally incorporated nonprofit organization and registered charity, governed by its independent board and operated in furtherance of its charitable mission. Volunteer Success and CharityVillage remain legally and financially separate, and Volunteer Success retains sole responsibility for its charitable programs, resources and decisions.

Volunteers are essential to the work of charities and nonprofits across Canada. However, finding, engaging and retaining volunteers has become increasingly challenging. Organizations need better tools to connect with people who want to contribute, and Canadians need easier, more meaningful ways to find opportunities that match their interests, skills and availability.

That is the challenge Volunteer Success is ready to take on as we enter this exciting new chapter of growth and impact.

Over the coming months, we plan to expand our platform, introduce new services and develop training, e-learning and other practical resources for volunteers and the organizations that engage them. Our goal is not simply to create another place to post volunteer opportunities. It is to help build a stronger, more accessible and more resilient volunteer ecosystem across Canada.

We look forward to sharing more and, most importantly, to building the next chapter of Volunteer Success in partnership with the organizations, volunteer-engagement professionals and volunteers who make this sector possible.
