New Feature: Invite Volunteers to Your Opportunities

By: Volunteer Success

We’ve added a new feature that makes it easier to connect with volunteers who are a strong match for your opportunities. You can now invite individual volunteers to your roles directly from their public profiles!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to the Volunteers page and click See Details on any public volunteer profile
  2. Click the new Invite button
  3. Choose one of your active opportunities from the dropdown
  4. Enter your name and email, then click Send Invite
  5. The volunteer will receive an email letting them know they’ve been personally invited to your opportunity!

This feature gives you a more proactive and personalized way to recruit. It’s ideal when you’re looking for a specific skill set, filling last-minute roles, or want to re-engage someone who hasn’t applied yet. Personalized invitations often lead to faster responses and more committed volunteers.

Log in now to explore volunteer profiles and start inviting the right people to your opportunities.

Will Non-profit Volunteer Programs Survive Instability?

By: By Lori Gotlieb

After reading an article that was published by CBC about the decline of volunteering in Toronto, I decided to write an opinion piece. Volunteerism is at the core of community engagement and program delivery for many organizations and has been through the best of times and the worst of times but it is not immune to the social, economic and political factors that we all face. In fact, organizations should be factoring in the landscape of volunteer support in their short term and long term strategic planning.
