Now Live: Post Your Volunteer Opportunities as Events or Ongoing Roles

By: Volunteer Success

We’ve just launched an important update to how you post volunteer opportunities on Volunteer Success. You now have two separate options, Event or Ongoing. Making it easier for you to organize roles and for volunteers to understand exactly what they’re signing up for.

Ongoing Opportunities are perfect for flexible, long-term, or recurring roles. You can view a list of all interested volunteers and follow up with the ones who are the best fit.

Event Opportunities are built for specific dates with clearly defined roles.

This update also introduces the ability to create a single event with multiple roles, each with its own number of spots. You no longer need to create separate postings for every position at your event. Now, everything is managed together in one streamlined view.

Here’s what’s new:

  1. Post your opportunity as either an event or ongoing role
  2. Set up multiple roles within one event, each with its own volunteer cap
  3. Volunteers are automatically accepted until the role is full
  4. After that, they are automatically added to a waitlist
  5. Event opportunities will be added to our Events calendar view where volunteers can easily see events that are happening.

This feature gives you more flexibility and clarity when organizing volunteer opportunities, and it improves the experience for volunteers looking to get involved in a way that fits their schedule.

Log in now to create your next opportunity using the new event or ongoing posting options.
